February is the coldest month in Taiwan so we are getting bundled up here, but we won't have snow.... just rain and wind! Holy cow the WIND here in Taoyuan is so strong! Sometimes I feel like I'm pedaling and not going anywhere or I just have to focus on staying on the road so hard! It's fun though. *This image is not actually from Mikell's mission, but it IS funny! Last week there was a two-day training and this weekend there is another two-day training, but it's amazing the miracles that come from all the learning. In being an STL (Sister Training Leader) we go on exchanges and we help the sisters with their companionship and area and just encourage them.... we went on one of those, help companionship exchanges this week and it was really cool actually to see the Spirit work in them to set goals and the growth that has come. I have the best life ever! I love it so so so much! | Wow, I love my life and Heavenly Father loves us so so much! This week we had 13 peikes, [lessons taught by missionaries] and I could just really feel the ward's support. It was awesome. also, we had 4 investigators at church and a few of them are really progressing and really excited for baptism. It is so cool to see people excited and propelling themselves to baptism! We were super blessed, miracles really, because we were in Taipei all of Thursday and most of Friday because of training meetings. I love our life! We were able to learn a lot and we are so excited for seeing the miracles and blessings that come from better using the baptism planner! And we were really able to use the baptism interview prep training to help our investigator who this week and next week will have interviews. [to determine readiness for baptismal covenants] Love it! I'll take pictures this week to send next week! Hope you all continue to find strength in the Lord and have fun with each other. I'm so excite to hear where Matt is going.... you will love the experience of serving.... seriously it's been the best decision ever. thank you mom and dad for helping me come out here. I know it cost a lot plus mail, clothes, books, etc. and I didn't really do anything to deserve that support, but really really thank you that I could come out when I did and be here now. Thank you!!!!!!! . I love you all so much! Have a fantastic week! Love, Sister Mikell Smith |
