Family! Merry Christmas! 聖誕節快樂! (Shengdan jie kuaile ---- Holy birth day happy) TESTS & PERSONAL GROWTH Wow, I loved this week, I love being a missionary, I LOVE my companion! Sometimes I feel like growth is mostly seen after a long period of time and in looking back to who you were before, but this week I literally felt growth daily and it was so cool... I got a bit of a cold the last couple of days but nothing that hindered our work... but today's 20 min. nap felt really good. Anyway, I just really love my companion and love my district! We are so close and have so much fun together. When I woke up yesterday without a voice and not feeling good Sister Morris went, boiled some warm water for me to drink, got cough drops from her suitcase and brought a lot to church to... good thing she did because we got there and Elder Gerrard, Elder Gao and I were all sick, Elder Clyde is just getting better. It was great though, I feel so good right now and think the worst of it is over. This week we are going to cozi burger as a district before English class for a Christmas Eve hurrah before Elder Gerrard and Sister Chamberlain go home and the rest of us probably get transferred. Training is almost over and it has been the hardest but the most fun experience ever. Sister Morris and our district really helped me fin fun again and wow, I'm like so not as stressed as I used to be. She passed Phase 1! Now, she's helping me get ready for phase 2... I hate being tested so this next week I'll just try it and see what I get and take it again until I pass I guess :) I love being here! I absolutely LOVE chinese!! | MIRACLES So, health is a miralce, but also our newest investigator is doing so great! Last night we met with him planning to teach the plan of salvation but ended up just having a really great opportunity for him to ask his questions about what he's read so far in the Book of Mormon and we could encourage him to read and pray daily and then try his best to always ask for Sundays off. He said he'd be willing to try for all of January! Once he comes to church I know he'll make a lot of friends and it will just further his progress, also, get this, I think one of our longer investigators and this new one could be really good friends! We'll see. I'm super excited for the prospective baptisms and new members of WanDa ward! It was amazing this week to really feel the SPirit. we had a lesson with a longer term investigator and I just felt the spirit really leading us and the peike. I loved it. He's totally getting baptized soon... he's just asking Heasvenly Father now and we're helping him understand how He may answer. challenges? the choir perofrmances have helped us see which investigators are really willing to meet with us so it's challenging but it's a good thing I think. Also the weather... it got really cold this week, but we kept fanning the fire and got in contact with some formers. this week we're trying to keep some traditions from Christmas, like, today, our plan is to go find pjs and buy them for each other, then on Christmas Eve we can open PJs like at home1 I'm excited. I hope you all know I know this church is true. Christmas is here because Christ is here. He lives. Christ is our Savior and redeemed all of us. We are all loved eternally by Him and our Heavenly parents. You are worthy of that love. You are precious and known to Him! I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and through the power of God Joseph Smith translated it. I love you all so so much! I love you, but I'm so glad I'm not coming home yet. I love Taiwan and these people so much! So much! see you when we see you! Love, Sister Smith |
