3/5/14 P-day! laundry, email! Jiaodao Daidiemei danshi ki shi okay de. Wo di nimen! Tianfu ai women! Love, Sima Jiemei (from a very tired, very happy sister missionary) MIRACLES TODAY: ~ I focused and kept my goals of learning a scripture and two phrases. ~ The temple is starting to kind of make sense. (in English, don't know about Chinese) 3/6/14 Four lessons today. Hard, interesting, love it. So great to see a person change. MIRACLES TODAY: ~ We helped theSpirit teach 4 lessons to 5 people today! ~My vocabulary is sticking a little bit! (a BIG miracle!) 3/7/14 Very tired, but, today was good, there is absolutely no where else I'd rather be and if I could talk to/see my family more, I could stay here forever. I know we have eternity so if I have to lose a few short years with them to help others stay with theirs for eternity, I'll gladly, full heartedly do it! MIRACLES TODAY: ~I laughed. Really hard, multiple times and it has been a while since I laughed so hard. (*embarrassing dinner moment) ~ I felt the Spirit today and realized what a beautiful miracle feeling the Spirit really is. *At dinner, I had a salad and took a bite and felt dressing drop on my skirt so I reached down and got the speck with my finger and licked it. It wasn't dressing, is was spaghetti sauce. I looked to my left and Yu Zhanglao was holding pizza and had this really guilty look on his face. He bit into his pizza and it splattered sauce on my skirt and I licked it up! I couldn't believe that just happened! We laughed so hard! 3/8/14 ~ Love Mason's primary talk [based on a story from The Mormon Channel. [click button to see 3 min. story] | 3/9/14 Q.D. is awesome! He totally wants to follow Christ and be baptized. It was slow going at first, but now it's picking up. I realized once they have that strong desire to learn more then they accept everything easier. We discussed the plan of Salvation- which is phenomenal! We asked what he learned when he read ... Which we left him with last time. He said he liked verse 13, why there is a law. Anyway, he totally accepted and loved the Plan of Salvation (A.K.A. God's Plan of Happiness) ---Who doesn't?!?! We taught him about the Word of Wisdom and left him with pamphlet. When we asked what he thought of it he liked it but asked about tea. He said sometimes his boss has a meeting and it's expected to drink alcohol, but he said he'd try to follow the Word of Wisdom. 3/10/14 We taught Q.D. today. He shared an experience with us: While riding his motorcycle, he saw an accident and watched as two people tried to save this other victim. He said he prayed the man wouldn't die, and he didn't. He explained that he knew it wasn't only because of his prayer, but that it felt good to be able to do something about it. < AWESOME BREAK THROUGH ALERT! We continued the discussion and soon he asked if we didn't like homosexuals and if they could be baptized. We said we think they are good people but the practice is not liked by God and we clarified, we should still totally be friends with them. He accepted that. I'm pretty sure the answer to everything is in Moroni 7! Love, Sima Jiemei |
