Perfect Prayer, family prayer (not-so-perfect)
| Successes: Well, I feel like I'm still starting to understand the Spirit, but I'm trusting it more. Trusting my judgement calls, with thoughts that probably stem from God, where all good things come from. Also, Chinese doesn't usually seem like a burden, but it is an amazing tool I can use to testify and bring others to Christ. It is truly amazing the power of learning the language of the Spirit and how that allows me to speak Chinese. I know it is not me because I took Chinese two years in high school and it never came this fast or easy. I'm excited to keep making Chinese a part of me. I was physically really tired this week. Sometimes people ask us, what? You have to be in bed by 10:30? I can honestly say, thank goodness we have to be in bed no later than 10:30. Such a blessing! Also, this week it rained a bit more than it has in the past... I'm not too sure if I like the rain. I'm pretty sure I don't like riding in it :) |
This week I want to be more motivated and proactive in contacting situations. Whether on the street or door knocking, I want to find the fun, and keep smiling through it, because we really need to find new investigators and I'm sure tweaking my attitude will help with that! :) Well, life is awesome here. I'm learning to love PMG, and the scriptures and others and Chinese, and seaweed and tofu. (Other foods for the week, stinky tofu (STRONGLY DISLIKE btw), duck blood, pig blood, chicken, candied tomatoes and strawberries (there's no doubt tomatoes are a fruit here-- so sweet!) |
Nihao! I miss those prayer times. This week in English class the lesson was about family so we shared family experiences (which made everyone happy and you could really feel the Spirit). And I was able to share about my awesome family... I might have bragged a little about having the best brothers in the world, and such awesome parents! We ended with the video Earthly father, Heavenly Father (watch it if you don't know what I'm talking about). | and more oatmeal, dumplings, noodles, seaweed, and peanut butter! It was so so good! They have great bread AND peanut butter here, and the strawberry jam we tried was awesome too. It's pretty much awesome). Love you all!! -Sister Smith |
