Ten months out...Well dearest family of mine, it's offical. ... your christmas package has been taken to the post office.... wow. postage is not cheap so I don't blame you for not sending me things for the rest of my mission if you'd like... :) But thank you for the Christmas presents!!!! My companion is helping me not open them, and my birthday stuff. Ya'll are so great! Thanksgiving sounds like you had so much fun! Marshall looks so tall!!! And Mason looks tall too! (that, or Matt is shrinking..... ) ;) haha. This week was great, We were very blessed! We got a better understanding on our investigators, and had 2 at church! And, one investigator who before this week always said no wouldn't come, she said she'd think about it and almost came but she got sick. Anyway, I'm sure she'll come next week, the members are so great, willing to help drive to investigators to church, or sit by them. Sister Morris and I also ran into a guy named Scott, from Utah, he's LDS! Just ran into him walking down a street contacting... that just doesn't happen! It was fun to just see all the little ways Heavenly Father answered our prayers. | PRAYER: This week I've been realizing how special it is we can ask Heavenly Father for specific things and He'll always give a specific answer back, sometimes immediately answering and sometimes we saw His hand step in right in time. He really won't give us more to handle than we can, but will push us to help us grow! I feel like He really helped our patience and our relationship grow. Sister Morris is just amazing, she keeps smiling and working on the language and is really improving, and it's so cool to see. She loves the members, actually, there's one who has really helped her feel welcome and love Taiwan more. Members are just so crucial to everything we do as a missionary, not just peike (translating) or sitting by investigators at church. Our studies are going great, the 12 week program is so amazing and I learn every time. We have big plans for December, especially in finding investigators, teaching the ones we have, baptizing the ones almost there, and to continue to work with the less active members. I love it! I'm really loving being in WanDa during this time, preparing for our White Christmas. I love being with Sister Morris especially! I think it'll be like spending Christmas at almost because the ward and her are family to me. Thank you for all the support and encouragement you give all of us missionaries! Love, Sister Smith |
