Mom, Dad, I got news: My generation of sisters will be going home with President and Sister Day on July 1st so you may need to plan the trip at that time. It'll be so awesome because my area is right by the mission home and temple! But I'm not thinking too much about it cuz I still have plenty of time here! I'm actually packing already because we are pretty sure I'm moving at the end of this month (finish training... :D) so That'll be good. MARSHALL! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! In the pictures, oh my, you look so tall! You'll probably have me beat by the time I get back! Thanks for all the love and support and the money you are spending on getting me packages. Nativity scenes | Well, this week brought a lot of miracles and reminders that Heavenly Father is in charge of this work and it's not what we do, though our efforts help. The Christmas choir is so much fun, I love singing and bringing the Spirit of Christmas through music, and the Nativity was so cool! Yes, well, Heavenly Father blessed us with new investigators and a new person willing to set a baptismal date. He is really cool, and we used the scriptures, the baptismal calendar, peike, and questions to help him and it was one of the best lessons ever! I love being a missionary. Also, this week we visited more members, and were blessed with service opportunities! It was really just a great week. As always there are challenges, but as we work together as a district and companionship it's all good. I love our district! We all have fun doing the Lord's work and are a big support to each other I feel. One (more humorous) challenge this week, was with the choir. We were trying to schedule our investigator and kept running into choir performances and I thought, hm, we finally have investigators trying to set up and we actually have other things scheduled.... I'm not used to that. But it wasn't a big challenge. And we got young women signed up to peike as well and other adult ward members, and it is just going to be great! Sister Morris has a goal to pass Phase I this week and we are going to do it! She totally will, she's almost done. And I'm reviewing Phase II, as soon as she's done with her's I'll take the test for mine... we'll see. (Have faith? There's a way...) Studies are so great! I still love and never get tired of having time each day to read from the scriptures! It's so important todo that daily! And my companion? She is just great, I love hearing her insights, and feeling her love, patience, and spirit. I love her so much and am so excited to be here in the choir, and in WanDa for Christmas (though, I have started packing lately... amazing what you collect after living there for 9 months...) :) Love you so much! love, Sister Smith |
